A Jamaica native, Sanya Richards was a collegiate track star at the University of Texas. Her speciality is the 400 meters, a distance at which she went undefeated in 2006 en route to earning IAAF Athlete of the Year honors. She's the American recordholder at that distance, and won Olympic gold as part of the 4x400m team in 2004.
