Shevon Stoddart

Shevon Stoddart sports a University of South Carolina bathing suit in the photo above. She's Jamaican and a hurdler, both for Team Jamaica as well as in college. Shevon's best performances, in terms of medalling, have come in the Central American and Caribbean Championships and Commonwealth Games, although she also has competed in World Championships and Olympic Games.

Angela Ruggiero

Farewell, Angela Ruggiero. The American hockey player just announced her retirement from competitive hockey. The defender is a 4-time Olympian, winning four models. Ruggiero won gold with Team USA at the 1998 Winter Olympics, bronze in 2006, plus a pair of silvers (2002, 2010).

Keri-Anne Payne

This is Keri-Anne Payne as she arrives at the 2011 BBC Sports Personality of the Year shindig. Keri-Anne is originally from South Africa but represents Great Britain in international swimming competitions. She now focuses on marathon open-water swimming, twice winning gold medals at the World Championships in the 10k Open Water event. Previously, she competed in more traditional events, including swimming the 200-meter and 400-meter individual medley races at the 2008 Olympic Games.

Marlies Schild

Austrian skier Marlies Schild now has two wins in a row in World Cup slalom races after victory in Courchevel, France.

Shild is a 3-time Olympic medal-winner (two silvers, one bronze), and has won seven medals - including two golds - at the World Championships. She also, three times, has won the World Cup season championship in slalom.

Zoe Nightingale

Zoe Nightingale played a key role in the UCLA women's volleyball team's national championship victory over Illinois with her blocking prowess at the net. In fact, Nightingale was part of 11 of UCLA's total of 15 blocks during the championship match.

Nightingale is a 6-foot-3 freshman for the Lady Bruins.

Michelle Kwan

So what's Michelle Kwan up to lately? Let's see ... well, she recently graduated from The Fletcher School, a graduate school in international affairs. Oh, and she was just elected to the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame. Which makes sense, given that Kwan was a 9-time U.S. champion and 5-time world champion.

Lindsey Vonn

It's not like we need an excuse to run another photo of Lindsey Vonn, but in this case, we have one: Seems that a cheeky 15-year-old managed to ask Vonn to his school prom. And because he did so in front of cameras and reporters as a public event, Vonn even said OK. That's right, Vonn is going to the prom with a 15-year-old boy. Man, where were celebs like this when I was in school?
